Developing those who lead

Developing those who lead
Those who lead set the tone, therefore are in an ideal position to get the best out of their people. They are generally responsible for the direction their people take, and to keep all aligned and moving in the right direction, receiving and giving feedback is an important element.
Those who lead come on this session and in the end:
> Know the neuroscience behind why feedback is difficult
> Know how to (and the process involved) and be able to receive and give hard feedback
> Know how to and be able to give recognition/appreciation
> Practice staying calm under stress, holding own thoughts, actively listen, being bold when giving tough feedback, applying a mindset of feedback, and being empathetic
> Know how to deal with conflict and differences
> Know how to set goals right, creating a context for giving specific feedback
By feeding back to others, there are benefits:
> Supports them in developing themselves, addressing their blind spots, improving and reaching their potential
> Creates a culture of continuous improvement … great for this changing VUCA world
> Creates connections and respect between those who lead and their people
> It is free, on-the-job and can be in real time … very powerful catalyst
